Those of us who are spiritually conscious share one primary aim: spiritual awakening.

It is the first significant step to embarking on our spiritual journey.

It marks the moment that we go from operating solely on the physical, mental and emotional frequencies to also working on spiritual frequencies – the higher dimensions of consciousness.

It is important to us to know when we have achieved this sometimes elusive goal.

There are a great many spiritual emotional symptoms, but this early in our journey we are unlikely to be entirely aware of the signs to look out for.

Luckily, there are also physical symptoms of spiritual awakening that are far easier for the novice to recognise.

Crown Itching & Buzzing

Our crown chakra is located at the top of the head and is the seventh and final chakra of the subtle body.

It represents our connection to the higher dimensions of consciousness and flares up at times when we feel particular unity with the universe.

When we undergo spiritual awakening, we are essentially being welcomed into the fold of higher spiritual beings.

This welcoming excites the crown chakra, and we feel the increase in energy as either a buzzing around the top of the head or itchiness on the scalp.

Sensory Amplification

Our senses, being so linked to our subtle body chakras, also experience a surge in energy during spiritual awakening.

It may result in increased light sensitivity, sound sensitivity and sensitivity in the other senses too.

We might find that colours become more vivid, our sense of touch becomes more delicate and we might even catch ourselves complaining about how loud the neighbours are – even though we have never had that complaint before.

Dizziness might also be a problem, as our sense of balance is thrown for a loop with all the new energy in the system.

This will, of course, settle down as we get used to the new frequencies that surround our subtle body. This can take a few days to a few weeks.

Intense Burst Of Energy

And it is this energetic shift that most physically effects us when we have undergone a spiritual awakening.

Everything else fades, but the energies released during awakening stay with us – they become the tools with which we interact with the spiritual world.

We might feel this energy in a multitude of different ways. Most apparent would a light buzzing around us all day, a feeling of static that fills us with a burst of life energy.

We feel driven to move along our spiritual journey but also motivated to be kinder to others and to spread love and unity.

This burst of energy serves as a sort of briefing on what it is to be a spiritual being.

Lastly, remember that this is an extraordinary time for us.

Our spiritual awakening is a massively transformative period of our lives, and we should soak it in, learn whatever lessons it can teach us and, of course, learn to trust our spiritual senses.

Our spiritual senses must become as important as our physical senses. That is the real gift of spiritual awakening.
