In the Bible, clouds are frequently used as symbols of God’s power, glory, presence, and judgment. They represent both His transcendence and immanence, pointing to spiritual realities beyond what we can physically see or understand. Clouds as Symbols of God’s Glory and Majesty

Clouds Indicating God’s Power and Judgment
Clouds also serve as symbols of God’s might and impending judgment upon the wicked:
“Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” (Psalm 97:2)
“Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and is about to come to Egypt; The idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, And the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them.” (Isaiah 19:1)

Jesus’ Ascension on the Clouds

At His ascension, “a cloud received Him out of their sight” (Acts 1:9), and He will return “with the clouds of heaven” (Matthew 26:64).
